Early Snow Surprises Western Montana

Hamilton’s snowfall had ended soon after it started, but snow piled up in the mountains around the Bitterroot Valley. Northwest Montana saw inches of snow in Kalispell and icy conditions on roads throughout the area.
Early Tuesday morning, fog was the problem in the Missoula and Bitterroot Valleys.
An increasing chance of more snow or snow and rain mixed is predicted for the middle of the week.
