He's been to the International Space Station and the Soviet MIR station, climbed Mount Everest and is helping scientists in Antarctica.

Dr. Scott Parazynski is the only NASA astronaut to have climbed to the top of Mount Everest. He also is a pilot and a SCUBA diver. He'll be sharing stories of some of his adventures in a fund-raising presentation at the Bitterroot River Inn in Hamilton Friday March 14.

Money raised from his speech will help send the Corvallis Middle School Science Olympiad team to the national finals in Orlando, Florida in May.

Dr. Parazynski has walked in space seven times and traveled back and forth to the ISS on now-mothballed Space Shuttle.

His topic will be "dream big and accomplish anything." An interview with Parazynski will air on KLYQ Radio Tuesday morning at 8 a.m., repeating Friday during the Event Show at 8 a.m.

Tickets to his presentation are $20. Limited tickets to a special V.I.P. reception are $200 each.

Advance tickets are available at Corvallis Middle School (961-3201), Corvallis Physical Therapy, Hamilton Physical Therapy and Chapter One Book Store in Hamilton.
