Even though both teams are advancing to the Western Divisional basketball tournament next week and had already played once today, the Hamilton Lady Broncs and Butte Central played an exciting, tight game in the Southwestern Consolation matchup Saturday afternoon in Hamilton. Butte won the game 47 to 42.

By quarters, the lead went back and forth with Hamilton leading 16 to 11 at the end of the first quarter, and leading by two point, 24 to 22, at the half. Butte Central had a scoring run in the third quarter and led 37-33 going into the final period. In that quarter, Hamilton regained the lead, but Butte Central got it back in the final minutes and won 3rd place in the tournament with a score of 47 to 42.

Hamilton got to the consolation match by defeating Stevensville 51 to 25 Saturday morning and Butte Central defeated Corvallis 52 to 38. Dillon and Frenchtown girls will play for the championship Saturday evening at 6:30 p.m.
