The hunt was over in minutes at the Hamilton Eagles Lodge community Easter egg hunt.

There were two age groups at the Ravalli County Fairgrounds - the younger kids by the grandstands with a small course and the older kids on the long run to the southeast corner of the fairgrounds.

As parents and relatives watched, the older kids - some dressed in their Easter Sunday finery - raced to find the colorful plastic eggs with prize certificates inside.

Meanwhile, some of the younger kids stopped and closely examined each treasure they found.

The Sunday hunt was one of many community Easter egg hunts in the Bitterroot Valley Saturday and Sunday.
