John Floridis doesn't bounce around on the stage very much. His in-between-song patter is engaging and calmly "down home." But when he plays his guitar, watch out! With incredible speed and talent, Floridis fills the space with blurringly fast fingers, keeping the basic melody but adding a whole new dimension to every song he plays.
John was the lead-out entertainer in Hamilton's popular Tuesday at 12 free concert series at Legion Park on South 2nd Street. The noon hour concerts will run through August 16th this year.
During his performance, he was heckled by the youngest hecklers in the county. A group of elementary school girls wanted "ballet music." He changed his set a bit and, though it wasn't classical, the girls were dancing.
Next week, the group "Fixin' Two" will be playing in the park at Tuesday at 12.
