Food Drive Wraps Up

Friday afternoon, the Bitterroot Kiwanis Club and members of the Hamilton High School Key Club will be taking over the Hamilton High Commons area (previous years shown in the photos) and putting together an estimated 300 food boxes for families in need in the valley. Club spokesmen say this has been going on for at least 30 years and the need has never been greater.
A plea for more funding from the community was answered, according to John Ormiston, who said the boxes, which includes food for much more than one meal, will be going out as planned this weekend.
News Talk 1240 KLYQ has been a supporter of the food drive since its inception and thanks the Kiwanis Club for keeping it going. And thanks to the community for giving us another example of how the Bitterroot Valley sticks together in tough times.
Merry Christmas!
