Forest Service Working on Two Small Fires

Missoula Rural Assistant Chief Tom Ziegler says the U. S. Forest Service and Department of Natural Resources and Conservation are working on to small fires in the Missoula area. One fire near the Blue Mountain recreation area was burning in rugged terrain where there are no roads of trails, so helicopters have been making water drops on the fire.
Ziegler says the other small fire is out near Frenchtown. Missoula Rural Fire was called out for the initial attack, but Forest Service personnel have taken over both fires. We will have more details later.
