Friday Fatality Explained

lights
The Montana Highway Patrol says a medical condition caused the crash in a one-car accident last week on the Stevensville cut-off road. Killed was 61-year-old William James Fears of Stevensville.
Ravalli County Sheriff/coroner Chris Hoffman said that Fears’ SUV was found upside down at the edge of the Bitterroot River, near the Stevensville Cutoff Bridge, near Super One Foods. Fears was pronounced dead at the scene.
A passing motorist had seen the vehicle by the river at 10am Friday, however accident probably occurred about three hours earlier, according to the patrol. The SUV was travelling at about 3 miles per hour when it went off the road, landing next to the river.
The medical examiner determined that the crash was caused by a medical condition, but a toxicology report is pending.
