From Grizzly Peak to Sam’s
A triathlon of sorts will draw adventurers to the Red Lodge area April 16. Montana Cycling and Ski is launching the Grizzly Peak Adventure Race, which includes snowboarding or skiing, mountain biking and running.
Organizers are planning the run to start at the top of Grizzly Peak at Red Lodge Mountain Resort where skiers and snowboarders will race down Lazy M, then switch to mountain bikes for a race along Ski Run Road to a transition area where athletes will dismount and run to Sam’s Tap Room in Red Lodge.
This is the premiere of a race series planned by Montana Cycling and Ski, which will include the Fat Tire Frenzy Mountain Bike Festival July 9-10 in Red Lodge, the Magic City Blues Soul Run near Billings August 13 and the Oktoberfest Duathlon, in conjunction with the Yellowstone Art Museum in Billings October 1.
