Friday, Nov 25, at 6pm, the new Hamilton Community Christmas Tree will be lit for the season in the midst of the Hamilton Downtown Association's "A Christmas Stroll" event.
Part of Hamilton's Main Street will be closed for easy pedestrian access to the Christmas Tree site, which is a new location, between the Hamilton Post Office and the Bell McCall auto dealership, on a nice area of lawn. The evening will include Photos with Santa, burning barrels, roasted almonds, and some Ballet Bitterroot dancers sprinkled into the night. The Montana A Cappella Society will sing songs from Dickens' time and will sing with the crowd at the tree lighting at 6.
And of course, the stores will be open late with "Not-to-Miss" deals on this first official shopping day of the holiday season.
