Hamilton will host the first Tourism workshop this winter in a series prepared by the Montana Office of Tourism. The series is called "Coming Together to Expand Montana's Tourism Story."

The morning session February 3rd will be free to the public but participants are asked to RSVP to the department in Helena.

The workshops are to help communities attract and retain visitors, with tourism being one of the state's leading industries. Non-resident visitors bring about $2.5 billion annually.

Prior to the workshops, a department "social media" team will be traveling the area, gathering information about attractions, activities, restaurants and services.

The tourism and brand workshop will be at the Bitterroot River Inn Conference Center February 3 from 9am to 12:30pm. The free session requires RSVP from those who plan to attend. Call (406) 841-2873.

There will be giveaways, too. Random drawings at the meeting will be for complimentary registrations to the Governor's Conference on Tourism and Recreation April 11-13 in Great Falls.
