Author Ellen Baumler is the featured speaker at Saturday's Daly Mansion Spring Lecture Series April 20.

Baumler has been collecting firsthand accounts, personal interviews and historical records of haunted places throughout Montana.

She will present stories of strange happenings at hotels, cemeteries, mines and historic landscapes at the free public lecture at 10 a.m. at the Daly Mansion northeast of Hamilton.

The series is presented annually by the Daly Mansion Preservation Trust and explores different topics each week in the spring. The final presentation in the series will center on the 1930s sheep population in the valley and why they generally disappeared.
