Grable Starts New Role with Montana Arts Council
The former director of the Bitterroot Performing Arts Series, Monica Grable, has begun new statewide duties with the Montana Arts Council.
Grable is now the Arts Education director, with responsibilities to help meet the needs and encourage trends in arts education around Montana.
She replaced Emily Kohring, who has moved to Missouri.
In a news release, Arts Council Co-Director Cinda Holt said, "We bid Emily a fond farewell, and we welcome Monica to our team. She brings the perfect skill set to the job, having been both an educator in our public school system and a presenter of a successful arts series in the Bitterroot."
The Arts Education director oversees the Council's education grant programs and manages the arts education policies.
Monica has a Master's Degree in Education-Curriculum and Instruction and had been teaching arts classes at Hamilton School District 3. She also had been a longtime executive director the Bitterroot Performing Arts Series, turning it into an independent organization, which continues today.
