Griz and Bobcats Will Host Playoffs
The University of Montana Grizzlies will be on friendly turf December 3, when they play their first NCAA Football Championship Subdivision playoff game. By defeating the Montana State Bobcats 36-10, the Griz earned a first week bye and are seeded Number Four in the brackets. They will wait for the Tennessee Tech-Central Arkansas game next week to find out who will fly out to Montana for a high altitude, cold weather tussle.
If Montana wins, they also host the next play-off game. Great news for fans.
The top seeds were Sam Houston State, Georgia Southern, North Dakota State and University of Montana.
Montana State, which was not seeded, also drew a bye this weekend, and will play New Hampshire in Bozeman on December 3.
Of course, KGVO 1290 AM will be broadcasting the Grizzly playoff games and KMPT 930 will be following the Bobcats in the playoffs.
Television coverage is trickier. The December 3 games will most likely be only on the internet, on web-based ESPN3.
