Griz Viewing Party is Saturday – 10 Screens, No Waiting
Saturday, KLYQ is joining with our Missoula stations in bringing Grizzly fans a unique experience. Even though the University of Montana Grizzly football team will be in Washington state, we’re bringing the game to you.
Caras Park in Missoula will be filled with 10 big screen TVs, food vendors, and some adult beverages for our first ever Town Pump Outdoor Griz Viewing Party!
The game starts at 5 p.m., but the pre-game fun starts a couple of hours before that, as we all know. The video is from DirecTV and 5 Star Satellite, and the play-by-play will be with our own Mick Holien on KGVO and KGVO-FM.
So far, we’ve got food vendors “Go Dog Go,” “El Cazador,” “Big Dipper” and “Noodle Express.”
As an added bonus, Washington-Grizzly stadium announcer Peter Christian will be handling the public address system, so the fans can help him with “First Down – MONTANA!”
A couple of tips for you – don’t bring your own adult beverages. Downtown Missoula has open container laws and you don’t want a ticket. Also, you might want to bring a lawn chair or two. We’ve got lots of chairs, but we have no idea how many people will be there. So, bring a chair, just in case!
Oh, I forgot to mention – Admission Is Free!
