Guiness Cake with Irish Cream Frosting
I recently found the perfect St. Patrick’s Day dessert while perusing Pinterest. I can’t wait to give it a try this year. It combines the best of both Worlds, chocolate and beer. If that’s not enough, the frosting to top this delicious cake is Irish cream flavored too. I’m pretty sure that dessert doesn’t get much more Irish, or delicious, than this.
Guiness Chocolate Cake
1 box chocolate cake mix
1 bottle of Guiness
Rest of ingredients needed to make a boxed cake of your choice
Make cake as the box calls for, except substitute the amount of water you would add to the mix with the same amount of Guiness. Bake the cake as directed and let cool.
Irish Cream Frosting
4 ounces soft cream cheese
1 cup powdered sugar
3 tablespoons Irish cream
Whip the cream cheese and then slowly add the powdered sugar. Once the powdered sugar is all mixed in, slowly add the Irish cream. Now use your frosting to frost your cake.
