The Hamilton Broncs visited Butte Central for their final game before the Christmas break. They came away with a last minute win 57 to 55.

The Broncs trailed much of the first half. The Maroons were leading 21 to 16 at the beginning of the second quarter and led 33 to 30 at the half.

The Broncs tightened up the scoring and the lead changed hands throughout the second half of the Class A high school battle. Hamilton trailed by one point, 47 to 46, at the beginning of the fourth quarter.

Then, in the final seconds, the Broncs set up for the last shot and as the buzzer sounded, Carter Kearns' ball went in for the win.

Meanwhile, earlier in the day in Hamilton, the Hamilton Lady Broncs, hampered by some illness on the team, lost to Butte Central at the Hamilton High School gym 62 to 45.

The high school teams will be practicing during the break, but the next games will not be until January 5th.
