Hunter Education classes will start soon in Hamilton and Stevensville.

All hunter education classes are free of charge and students must be 11 years old to be certified. Montana law requires anyone born after Juan 1, 1985 to have completed the Hunter Education Course to buy a hunting license.

Hamilton's classes will at the Assembly of God Church at 601 West Main. A parent or legal guardian must accompany any student under 18 years of age to the orientation class night.

The Hamilton Orientation night will be Monday, July 23 at 7pm.  The Stevensville Orientation night will be Wednesday August 1 at 6:30pm.

The Hamilton classes will be July 30 and 31 and August 2, 6, 7, 9 and 13 from 7 - 9 each night. There will be a field day Saturday, August 11.

In Stevensville, the classes will be at the Lee Metcalf National Wildlife Refuge north of Stevensville at 4567 Wildfowl Lane. Students will be able to take classes on Monday and Wednesday evenings from 6:30-9pm beginning on August 6 and ending on August 27 or they can take classes on Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 6:30 to 9pm from August 7 to August 27.
