The Hamilton Broncs defeated Butte Central for the second time this year Saturday and advanced for another game in the State A High School Football playoffs.

The Broncs scored first with a 6-point score, which was followed quickly by Butte Central with one 7-point score and another. Hamilton then scored and made a 2-point conversion to tie it 14 to 14 at halftime.

The Hamilton dominated the second half and finished the game with a 39-22 victory.

Next week, the Broncs will be in Belgrade at 1 p.m. Saturday as playoffs continue.

Elsewhere, Corvallis lost their quarterfinal game Friday night in Columbia Falls. It was Wildcats 55 and the Blue Devils 14.


Corvallis failed to repeat as top team in Class A Soccer Saturday. They lost to the team they defeated last year, Belgrade, by a 2-0 score.

The game was played at the soccer field of the Corvallis Event Center.
