It was a "buzzer beater" by Hunter Omlid at the final second of the Hamilton Bronc-Dillon Beaver conference basketball game Saturday. Hamilton trailed 67-66 with 13 seconds left and Hamilton had possession of the ball. After a time out, the Broncs worked the ball down the floor and Omlid timed his 3-point shot for the last second. The ball didn't touch the rim as it went in. Hamilton won the game 69 to 67. The teams traded leads throughout their Class A basketball game in Dillon. Dillon led at the end of the first quarter 25 to 24. Hamilton led at the half 36 to 30 and they were tied at the beginning of the final quarter 50 to 50. Again, the final was Hamilton 69 Dillon 67.

The Lady Broncs battled the Lady Beavers into overtime in the second game on the Dillon court. Dillon came out strong in the fist quarter and led 10 to 5 as the second quarter started. Hamilton came back, while Dillon stalled and at the half Hamilton led 16 to 10. The third quarter saw another lead change with Dillon leading 26 to 21 as the final quarter started. The teams tied at the end of fourth quarter 29 to 29 and went into a four-minute overtime period. The score tied again at 31-31, then 33-33. Dillon finally edged Hamilton 37-33.
