After a sloppy first half, the Hamilton High School Broncs began to gel in their 36 to 10 victory over Whitefish Friday night, August 24, in the opening game of the 2018 Class A football season. Both teams had turnover problems in the first two quarters, but also couldn't capitalize on each other's turnover. There was no score in the first quarter, but Hamilton's Quarterback Carson Rostad started connecting in the second period and the Broncs led the Bulldogs 14 to 0 at the half.

The second half saw much improved play from both teams, but Hamilton had the better offense, leading 22 to 7 at the end of the third quarter and wrapping up the game with a score of 36 to 10. Hamilton will travel to Columbia Falls next Friday for their second game of the season. KLYQ will broadcast that game.

Meanwhile, in Belgrade, the Hamilton boys soccer team tied Belgrade 1-1 and the Lady Broncs lost to Belgrade 3-0 Friday.
