The Hamilton City council will be talking money Tuesday evening, August 21.

The council will have public hearings on a number of issues - most of them dealing with budgets for the next year. There will be hearings on:

  • The Downtown Hamilton Business Improvement District workplan and budget
  • The assessment of 20 mills for a Street Maintenance District
  • An assessment for maintenance of Lighting Districts 10, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16
  • Public comment on the final city budget for 2012-2013
  • Public comment on adoption of a Non-motorized Transportation Plan

    The council will also consider redefining the area of the street maintenance district and is scheduled to vote on resolutions to set the budget and levy taxes for 2012-2013.

    The meeting will be at Hamilton City Hall on South Second Street, starting at 7pm.
