Grab those bags of leaves from out of the snow and leave them by the side of the road in Hamilton next week for Fall Clean-up Days.

The annual event will cover the city limits in three days - November 13-15.

The Public Works Department has plans to pick up bagged leaves and bundled branches along the curbs for city residents only.

From 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily, crews will be working in the northwest portion of town Monday, November 13. They'll pick up on the southwest portion Tuesday, and east of Highway 93 to the eastern city limits on Wednesday, November 15.

They will only pick up organic yard material - bagged leaves only and small branches bundled and tied, not to exceed four feet in length or 4 inches in branch diameter.

No rocks, dirt or trash, and no burning in the city limits.

Public works officials said that red tags will be placed on items that are not in compliance. Red tagged items must be sorted so that unacceptable materials are removed. Then, contact the Public Works Department at 363-6717 and they'll come back to pick up your yard waste.

And, if you don't get to all your lawn waste because of snow or wet conditions, don't worry. The Spring Hamilton Clean-up Days are not that far away!
