It might have been that winter has loosened its hold on the Bitterroot. It might have been the reports from last year's event. Whatever the reason, the annual Ragin' Cajun Crab Feed and Low Country Boil brought in a full house of feast-loving fans Saturday, February 18, at Hamilton's City Hall.

The fundraiser from the Hamilton Downtown Association served up family-style crab, potatos, corn and more, while the crowd was entertained by Anaconda's "Smokestack and the Foothill Fury," back for their second year by popular demand.

About a half hour after the doors opened, another table was set up to handle an overflow crowd. The meal was prepared by chefs from Bitterroot Brewery.

The funds from the evening will help an active organization. The Hamilton Downtown Association works to provide special entertainment in Hamilton, including "Hamilton Tonight" live outdoor concerts during the summer, Daly Days, and a month of Christmas activities, including the community Christmas Tree lighting and decorations on Hamilton's downtown lightpoles.

The group's next fundraiser will be a popular Wine Fest next month.
