Strong winds, estimated over 40 miles per hour, downed trees and power lines in the Bitterroot Valley Tuesday afternoon.

Just before 2pm, the Hamilton Volunteer Fire Department received the first of 7 calls during the windstorm. The temperature dropped about 20 degrees during the hour.

There were no injuries reported in the incidents, and power crews were working to restore power in various areas through the afternoon.

Damage estimates were unknown.
