Thursday evening, the Hamilton volunteer Firemen helped get Hamilton ready for the holidays. With fire department trucks and other equipment, the firemen installed the light "halos" around the downtown lampposts and hung seasonal banners on the lightpoles.
The department volunteers their work each year to the Hamilton Downtown Association, who, in turn, puts on a free meal for the workers as a thank you. The lights help complete the decorations for the Christmas season, which officially starts the day after Thanksgiving, November 25th, with the public lighting of the community Christmas Tree at the Hamilton Post Office building on Main Street.
