Hamilton High Speech Team Places Third at State Meet

At the State Speech Meet, the Hamilton High School Speech and Drama Team placed Third in the Class A Speech and Debate division and Third in the Drama division.

Hamilton has two State Champions. Whitney Cleveland is a State A Champion in Serious Solo and also placed Third in Humorous Solo. Zoi Martin won the competition in Memorized Public Address.

Coaches Dee Hallock, Jeff Lowe, Jean Steele and Kee Ostler reported that many others on the team placed at State:

  • Karissa Chouinard – Second in Humorous Oral Interpretation of Literature and Second in Serious Oral Interpretation of Literature
  • Tannar Crossman – Second in Original Oratory and Eighth in Serious Oral Interpretation of Literature.
  • Tony Chin and Melissa Dowdy – Second in Policy Debate
  • Sam Parker – Third in Lincoln-Douglas Debate
  • Nora Bartley – Third in Serious Solo
  • Faith Barry and Ben Peterson – Fourth in Classical Duo
  • Hollie Ostler and Nora Bartley – Sixth in Serious Duo
  • Mary Roberts – Sixth in Pantomime
  • Shandarra Mansfield and Nathon Peterson – Eighth in Serious Duo
  • Jacob Rogers – Eighth in Humorous Solo.
