Hamilton Hospital Again Named to ‘Top 100′ Critical Care Facilities
Marcus Daly Memorial Hospital in Hamilton has reached the "Top 100" three times in the past four years, according to marketing director Amy James-Linton.
The award from the National Rural Health Association recognizes a hospital's performance in several areas including quality care, reducing risk, patient satisfaction and financial health of the hospital.
Mira McMasters, Director of Quality Management, said the hospital continues to survey patients on a number of issues and adjusts the operational issues accordingly.
Kathy Padilla, Director of Nursing told KLYQ that she was extremely proud of the nursing staff at Marcus Daly. She mentioned awards received for Emergency Room services and a Baby Friendly award for their birthing facilities. The Hamilton-based hospital also operates its own ambulance service.
James-Linton talked about the outreach and preventative health programs that the hospital provides to better educate the public about health issues they themselves can control.
