About every two years, Hamilton's Marcus Daly Memorial Hospital contracts with a survey company to do a "Community Health Needs Assessment." That assessment is happening next week, with are meetings February 6-8. Amy James-Linton of the hospital said such surveys have led to ongoing improvements at the facility, including the recently improved Emergency Room and the current construction going on for a new surgical center. The public is invited to comment on things the hospital needs to address in the future to meet the specific health problems in the Bitterroot Valley.

The hour-long meetings are:

  • Tuesday, February 6 - at Marcus Daly Hospital on Westwood Drive in the Blodgett conference room, starting at 5:30 p.m., with doors open at 5 p.m.
  • Wednesday, February 7 - at Darby Community Center, starting at Noon, with doors open at 11:30 a.m.
  • Wednesday, February 7 - at Stevensville High School library, starting at 5:30 p.m. with doors open at 5 p.m.
  • Thursday, February 8 - at Victor School's Mary Stuart Rogers Performing Arts Center, at 5:30 p.m., with doors open at 5 p.m.
  • If you need more information about the meetings, call the hospital at (406) 363-2211 or check their redesigned website. They want to make sure that you have "quality care close to home."
