Hamilton's Main Street will be the main route for the Montana Peace Officers Memorial Day parade Thursday, May 15.

Hamilton Police Lt. Steve Snavely said the parade will start at 1 p.m. at 10th Street and Main and will proceed on the traditional Hamilton route on Main Street, but then continue on 1st Street and Fairgrounds Road to Hamilton High School.

At the school, the official Memorial ceremony will honor those law enforcement officers who have fallen and recognize those who serve the profession daily. That ceremony is expected to start about 1:45 p.m.

The public is encouraged to line the parade route and also attend the ceremony.

Snavely said that there will be a good contingent of both current and classic vehicles from around the state, along with music.
