The Hamilton Lady Broncs went out to an early lead in their Thursday night game against Butte Central at the Hamilton basketball court, but Butte Central had a late game charge that nearly took the game away from the home-standing Lady Broncs. By quarters, Hamilton led 21 to 9 after the first period, and at the half was ahead 30 to 12. In the third quarter, the Butte Central scoring started to perk up and by end the end of the fourth quarter, the Lady Maroons were within three points. But Hamilton scored at the free throw line to win the game by a score of 41 to 35.

Meanwhile in Butte, the Hamilton Broncs had a back-and-forth contest with the Maroons. Butte Central led at end of the first quarter 14 to 11, and at the half Hamilton was leading 28 to 24. The third quarter saw the teams tie the score 36 to 36. Butte Central took the game with free throws with the final Butte Central 57 to Hamilton's 50. The Broncs now have a long Christmas break and will play again January 3.
