Hamilton Broncs met a buzzsaw when they went up against Billings Central in their first State A Boys Basketball Tournament game Thursday in Bozeman. The final score was Billings Central 64 Hamilton 37. The Broncs head into the loser-out bracket Friday afternoon.

Hamilton had an unusual low-scoring first quarter while Billings Central found the basket and at the end of the period led 21 to 8. Hamilton trailed Billings by 8 at the half, 28 to 16.

The third quarter and fourth quarter saw Hamilton making a couple of scoring runs, but not enough to make up the difference. Added to that, the team ran into foul trouble. Hamilton lost the game - Billings Central 64 Hamilton 37. Hamilton will play at 2 p.m. Friday against Belgrade. Hamilton now has 23 wins and one loss on the season.
