Hamilton residents have another opportunity to get rid of major junk. The City of Hamilton has gotten together with Bitterroot Disposal again to collect specific "throw-away" items.
For three days, June 10-12, crews will be standing by at large dumpsters in the City parking lot across from the Hamilton Post Office at the corner of Pinckney and North 4th Street.
It's a free deal for Hamilton residents only.
The crews will help residents carry things to the proper receptables. The city conducted a very successful drop-off last year, also with Bitterroot Disposal.
They'll be taking:

    Tires
    Washers and Dryers
Electronics such as TVs and Computers
    Scrap metals
    Furniture

The hours will be from 8:30am to 4pm and for more information call the Public Works Department at 363-3316.
And, concerning the Public Works Department - they have a new office. The building is on North 10th Street at New York Avenue, right next to the ever-popular Hamilton Dog Park.
They are planning an Open House Tuesday June 14 at 6pm, with a ribbon-cutting, light refreshments and tours of the facility.
