The top two teams in the southwestern conference showed why they're both heading to state playoff action in Class A high school football.

Hamilton traveled to Dillon and came back with a win in the final regular season game Friday night, October 20. The score was Hamilton 32 Dillon 28.

Hamilton scored first, and then scored again on two separate Dillon fumbles in the first quarter. Dillon scored a touchdown to end the first quarter and regained the lead with a 2-point conversion after a second quarter touchdown to lead 14-13 at the half.

The Broncs have had some outstanding third quarters this season. They did it again in Dillon, scoring twice while Dillon were held scoreless.

The fourth quarter was wild, with Dillon scoring twice to lead 28-25. The Broncs came back and led 32 to the Beavers' 28 as the minutes counted down.

Hamilton had possession of the ball for the last two minutes and won the game.

They earn a bye in the first weekend of playoffs next week. Then, they'll play at home in the second weekend of playoffs November 4.
