The Hamilton School District #3 has lots of music planned for season. the kids have been practicing and rehearsing and the parents are getting the digital cameras ready for those proud moments when their child is "on stage."

Unfortunately for the kids, the parents often bring out those photos and videos on prom night, to impress the date...and embarrass the child. Nonetheless, here's the plan. By the way, all the concerts are free:

  • December 11 - The Hamilton Middle School choirs will have their Winter Concert at 7:30 p.m. in the Hamilton High School Performing Arts Center. At the PAC, the 6th grade choir, the 7th grade girls choir and the 8th grade girls and boys choirs will perform holiday classics. Also featured will be two piano soloists and several vocal ensembles.
  • December 13 - The Hamilton High School Choir Department will have their Winter Concert at the PAC at 7:30 p.m. Even though are 700 seats in the auditorium, you are encouraged to arrive early for this popular event. Five choirs will perform holiday classics and will top off the evening with Handel's "Hallelujah Chorus" from The Messiah.
  • At both concerts, high school students will be selling Montana-made pine wreaths. Concert DVDs will be available for ordering at $5 each.

  • December 17 - The Hamilton Middle and High School Bands will have their Winter Concert at the HHS PAC, beginning at 7:30 p.m. The 6th grade concert band, the 7th and 8th grade cncert band and the High School Symphonic Band will have standard "wind band literature" and some seasonal favorites.
