Hamilton School District Plans Two More Public Forums
The Hamilton School District election is May 6th. The public will have two forums next week to find out more.
The first public forum is Tuesday April 22 at the Washington Primary School on North 5th Street. The second forum of the week will be Thursday April 24 at the Hamilton Middle School on South 5th Street. Both meetings will start at 6 p.m.
The election ballot has two opening on the school board. Three people are running – Jim Shea, Lee Tickell and Elke Olbricht.
The General Fund Levy is worth $485,000 and includes operational funding, along with money for the Career Pathways, Performing Arts and Keystone programs. Also, the levy would help keep down cost of facility rentals and student fees.
Officials say the cost of the levy would be $25 annually for a home valued at $100,000.
