Hamilton School Election Filing Deadline is March 28
The ballots for the Hamilton School District mail-in election will go out in the mail by the middle of April.
A more pressing deadline is the filing deadline if you want to run for any of the three open positions on the school board. That deadline is Thursday, March 28 at 4 p.m.
By that time, you need to have filled out and brought back the filing paperwork to be on the ballot.
There is one opening for a 1-year term and two positions for 3-year terms.
The Hamilton School Board has scheduled a special meeting for, also on Thursday. On the agenda are personnel items, including approval of the recommendation to hire Dan Kimsey as Hamilton High School Principal, replacing Kevin Conwell, who was recently hired to be Bozeman High School Principal. Kimsey, who is currently the Hamilton Middle School Principal, was selected from three candidates.
Also on the agenda for the March 28 meeting are teacher contract decisions, and Reduction In Force decisions for the coming school year, affecting paraprofessionals and other staff.
The meeting will start a 6 p.m. at the District Board Room on Daly Avenue March 28.
