Daniel Nicklay, currently principal at Coeur d'Alene Charter Academy, has withdrawn from the field of candidates for Hamilton School District Superintendent.

Nicklay cited personal reasons for dropping out. Following that development, the Hamilton School Board moved James Baldwin into the finalists list.

Baldwin has been the superintendent of Alberton School District for 14 years, and has been superintdent at Melstone School District and roy School District. He has Bachelors Degress from Minot State and a Master's Degree in Administration from University of Mary.

Baldwin joins Robert Conners, Thomas Korst and Robert Lewandowksi in this week's interviews. The four finalists will meet with Hamilton school staff on Thursday Jan 19, tour the district and meet with the public (from 5pm to 7pm at the High School Commons) on Friday Jan 20, and will be interviewed by the school board at the Daly Elementary School Saturday Jan 21.

The School Board hopes to name a new superintendent by the end of the month. He will be replacing Duby Santee, who is retiring in June.
