Hamilton Schools Back to Work After Spring Break
The students will pile back into the classrooms Monday morning as the Hamilton School District resumes after a weeklong Spring Break.
The Hamilton School Board will be meeting the candidates for the Middle School Principal position. Current principal Dan Kimsey has been hired as the Hamilton High School Principal.
The public will be able to meet the candidates at a “meet and greet” Monday, April 8, from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at the Daly Den in Daly School.
Following that, the school board will meet, also in the Daly Den, and will talk about the contract with CTA Architects and Engineers for remodelling the Daly School to absorb the Grantsdale Elementary students who will join the classes next fall when the Grantsdale School is closed.
The board will also be looking at the soon-to-be mailed ballot for the mail-in school election, which will finish up on May 7th. On the ballot, Lee J Tickell is running for a one year term, and Dee Hensley-Maclean, Demaris Keefe Moore and Mark Yoakam are running for two 3-year terms.
Also on the ballot is the question: Shall the Hamilton School District No.3 be authorized to sell the Grantsdale School Property?
Parent-Teacher Conferences will be Wednesday and Thursday, April 10 and 11. All schools are inviting parents to visit the school, meet the teachers and see your child’s work.
