What has become one of the major draws of Daly Days in Hamilton will be the annual Weiner Dog Races, sponsored by Hamilton Soroptimists International.

The crowds will gather around the short track on Hamilton's Main Street before noon Saturday, July 26. The dachshund dogs will be run in a number of heats - depending on total registration. The winners of the heats will run in the final.

A fun additional race this year, according to organizer Linda Looser, will be a special trial for chihuahuas called the Hot Tamale Race. It will run before the finals in the Weiner Dog Race.

There's a $5 entry fee and registration closed Wednesday, July 23, at 5 p.m. Call (406) 360-4520.

Prizes will be awarded for each heat, Overall Winner and Best Dressed dog.
