The rain prevented some of the activities at Friday's "Hamilton tonight" late opening for Hamilton merchants, but there was plenty to see at the celebration of outdoor activities in the Bitterroot.

The sled dogs of Brandi Williamson were happy to greet those who braved the rain showers. Darbacious, the friendly Darby bull, was there, too, and people got "up close and personal" - as long as there was a corral between them and the animal.

There was a fun archery activity (and Smokey Bear from the U.S. Forest Service is a pretty good archer!) and other tents were set up with information about outdoor events.

The Hamilton Downtown Association is planning a free evening concert at the July 14th "Hamilton tonight."
