The Bitterroot National Forest's popular "Walk by the Light of the Moon" speaker series wraps up its 2012 run with the "Ghost Moon" this weekend.

Stories of real mysteries and odd happenings in the Bitterroot Valley and surrounding areas will take center stage at Saturday's free public event October 27.

The Moon Walk this month will be at the Woods Cabin on the north shore of Lake Como, northwest of Darby. You'll be parking in the lot at the entrance to Three Frogs campground, and will walk the very short distance downhill to the cabin. The fun starts at 7 p.m. as presenters "bring to life" tales of Bitterroot Valley ghosts, who will tell their stories of their lives and their untimely deaths.

As with all presentations in the series, it is tailored for the whole family, and is free to the public. The series is sponsored by the Bitterroot National Forest and the Bitter Root RC&D.
