Healthy Chocolate Peanut Butter Oatmeal Honey Ball Recipe
This weekend my mom was raving about a new recipe she had received from a relative. She couldn’t stop talking about how good it tasted, how easy it was to make and how healthy it was. I had all the ingredients to make it sitting in my pantry so I decided to try it. I have to admit that it lived up to the hype.
The oatmeal is full of fiber, dark chocolate helps fight disease, flax seed is great for your heart, peanut butter is high in protein and honey is great for the immune system. These tasty bites are like a multivitamin disguised as a delicious snack.
I dare you to try these. They have been fooling my husband and boys for the past day. They have no idea how good they are for them, they just know how good they taste. I highly recommend these as a way to give your kids a guilt-free snack.
Healthy Chocolate Peanut Butter Oatmeal Honey Balls
1 cup oatmeal
1/2 cup dark chocolate chips
1/2 cup ground flax seed
1/2 cup peanut butter
1/3 cup honey
Throw all the ingredients into a bowl and mix until combined. Form into balls with your hands, and deep in the fridge until ready to eat.
