History in Person at Corvallis ‘Stones and Stories’
Ray Dunbar was one of a half-dozen reenactors at the Corvallis Cemetery Saturday, June 25th, for the annual "Stones and Stories" event.
Dunbar recounted his family's history, while standing in the area where relatives were buried at the cemetery. Members of old Bitterroot homesteading families were at various places around the area. Stories included the "apple boom," schools, farming and lumber mills that existed in the Bitterroot Valley.
The reenactments were sponsored by the Corvallis Alumni Association and American Legion Post #91.
