Hot times for the BR Blaze
The semi-pro valley football team, the Bitterroot Blaze, are into the playoffs again in AA competition.
The team will go up against longtime rival the Missoula Phoenix Saturday, June 18, at 7pm. The home games have been held at the Corvallis Event Center field, but this week, they return to their old stompin’ grounds – The Darby High School field.
The Blaze have had a winning season and were qualified for the playoffs early. The Phoenix, meanwhile, tied for second in the division last week with a 46-14 thrashing of the Glacier Knight. Both teams each have three losses, but the Blaze have defeated the Phoenix 19-7 in the first game of the season.
