The Indian Fire in the Salmon-Challis National Forest is now about 80 percent contained, according to Forest Service officials.
Structure protection continues for homes near the fire on Indian Creek. Firefighters had a couple of good days - with burnouts successful on the north edge of the fire and the south edge of the fire is undergoing restoration work.
There are fewer people on the fire lines this weekend - but still near 500 fire personnel, along with tankers and helicopters. Much of the fire is in rugged mountains, such as you see in the photo.
And, as always, a reminder that the forests are drying out and you should be very careful with campfires.
