Indian forest fire in Idaho on last legs
The Type 2 incident commend will transition into a less intensive Type 4 team this week at the 1700 acre Indian Fire just north of Salmon River in Idaho.
The fire is 93 percent contained and the Incident Team will will not be issuing any more detailed press releases as mop-up and rehabilitation take over from suppression efforts.
The Salmon-Challis National Forest will have more information at the North Fork Ranger District at (208) 865-2700.
Most recently, the fire crews have been leaving the fire and hose runs, pumps and fire accessories have been removed from homes that at one time were in danger.
The roads around the fire area still remain closed, however.
