The fun for the little people in the valley (the kids) are highlighted by main events starting Saturday, October 26.

The older kids at Hamilton High School will be collecting nonperishable food for Haven House Monday, October 28. Members of Hamilton High Key Club and the Student Council will be canvassing the Hamilton neighborhoods from about 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m.

On Thursday, October 31, the Hamilton Downtown Association will host the Annual Halloween Kids Parade at 4 p.m. The KLYQ Radio "ghost van" will again lead the kids from the Hamilton Post Office on a two-block stroll on Main Street from 4th Street to 2nd Street. As the parade concludes, the downtown stores welcome the kids for treats in a safe, fun get-together before it gets dark.

Then, quite a large crowd heads out to the Ravalli County Fairgrounds for the annual Harvest Festival for families - no scary costumes please.

A huge caution from us to those who driving in Hamilton on Halloween night.

There are some "hot spots" for trick or treating in Hamilton. The historic Halloween kids' magnet is the on and around South 4th Street. Other popular stops are Stonegate and the Arbors on the eastern edge of town. Drive with extra care!
