The City of Hamilton crews planted 10 replacement cottonwoods along the River Park trail Friday.

A group of kids from Washington School and Sunny Spot Montessori School watched the crew plant one of the larger trees Friday afternoon as part of Arbor Day activities. The kids then recieved trees of their own to plant at home.

The River Park trees are to replace over 40 trees that were removed last year. Work Friday was under direction of arborist Sylvia McNeill of McNeill's Tree Service. She also instructed the kids on initial care of their little trees.
