As part of National Get Outdoors Day, the Bitterroot National Forest is waiving all Day-Use Fees at Lake Como Recreation Area Saturday, June 9.

The site is the most popular area in the Northern Region of the Forest Service, with over 150,000 people visiting annually.

Bitterroot Forest Supervisor Julie King said, "We hope people take advantage of Saturday's free day at Lake Como and also the many camping, sightseeing and hiking opportunities which we enjoy here on the Bitterroot throughout the year."

The free fee day is only for the Day Use charge, including the beach, picnic area, boat launch and trailhead.

Fees will still be charged for campgrounds, group overnight use and rental cabin.
